Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL) has strengthened its commitment to developing the country’s ICT talent by providing practical training on the National ICT Broadband Backbone (NICTBB) to students from the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT).
During a visit to TTCL headquarters, the students received hands-on exposure to the technologies, infrastructure and operational systems that support the National ICT Broadband Backbone, which underpins reliable communications services across Tanzania.
The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practice by giving students practical experience with national telecommunications infrastructure. Through the programme, TTCL aims to equip future ICT professionals with the technical knowledge and skills needed to support Tanzania’s growing digital economy.
The training reflects TTCL’s ongoing investment in ICT capacity building and its broader efforts to nurture the next generation of telecommunications and technology professionals in the country.
