By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 31 year old labourer of the San Mateo Area has been charged with loitering following a patrol in San Pedro Town.
Police say an officer was conducting patrol in the Boca Del Rio area around 8:20am on Saturday when his attention was drawn to a man in the area.
The officer approached, identified himself and informed the man that he would be detained for loitering if he had no purpose for being there.
According to the report, the man replied, “For what? I no the move,” and refused to leave the location.
He was informed of the offence, cautioned and escorted to the San Pedro Police Station.
At the station his particulars were recorded as Edgar Sedacy. He was issued an acknowledgement form and invited to sign, which he refused.
He was formally arrested and charged with loitering the same day. He was cautioned and chose to remain silent.
