By Zoila Palma: Today, the U.S. Embassy in Belize announced that André Bauer has been sworn in as the U.S. Ambassador to Belize.
“A former South Carolina legislator and two-term lieutenant governor, Ambassador Bauer brings a deep commitment to public service, entrepreneurship, and American values to his new role in advancing Administration priorities,” the U.S. Embassy said.
The U.S. Embassy said that Ambassador Bauer and his family look forward to arriving in Belize, traveling across the country, seeing its incredible beauty, and, meeting the people who make Belize so special.
“We’re just getting started,” the embassy said.
