K-Rev’s New Project Inches Closer As DJ Clen Reveals Final Studio Details. DJ Clen has given South African hip-hop fans another reason to keep an eye on K-Rev, revealing that the rapper’s long-awaited next project is now just one verse away from completion.

The Revenge Club Records producer shared the update on X on Wednesday, explaining that K-Rev’s upcoming release has been one of his main priorities while the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been dominating the spotlight.

“K-Rev’s next drop is what I’ve been prioritising during the World Cup. Lemme just say we’re 1 verse away from wrapping up. He’s definitely dropping,” Clen wrote.

For fans who have been waiting for K-Rev’s next chapter, the message is about as clear as it gets. The project is not sitting somewhere in the distance. It is almost finished.

Clen and K-Rev have already established a strong creative partnership, with their 2025 collaborative mixtape The Only Way UP earning attention as one of the notable releases in the South African hip-hop space. The project brought together K-Rev’s versatile delivery and Clen’s signature production, with appearances from artists including Blxckie, 25K, Blaklez and Jay Jody.

Songs such as “Montana,” “Put You On,” “451 Effect” and “Jackson’s Rose” highlighted different sides of K-Rev, from melodic moments and introspective storytelling to more direct, bar-heavy performances.

The Daveyton-born, Soweto-based rapper, whose real name is Samukelo Qhena, has continued building momentum since the release, with his debut album now appearing increasingly close to reality.

Clen has also made no secret of his belief in K-Rev’s ability. The producer has previously spoken highly of their studio sessions, including one track he rated among the rapper’s strongest work yet. At one point, Clen revealed that he had replayed the song more than 50 times, a clear sign of the confidence he has in what they are creating together.

Now, with Clen deliberately putting the project ahead of the World Cup frenzy, the producer appears determined to get K-Rev over the finish line.

There is still no confirmed title, tracklist or release date, but one crucial detail has been made clear. K-Rev is dropping, and according to Clen, only one verse stands between the project and completion.
