By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City handyman was fined on Friday after pleading guilty to throwing missiles at a home on Black Orchid Street.
Kenyon Kareem Dominguez, 34, a self-employed handyman from the Lake Independence area, appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, where he admitted to throwing objects at the residence of a neighbor.
Dominguez was fined $150, along with $5 in court costs. He was given until September 30, 2026, to pay the amount or serve two weeks in prison.
In court, Dominguez explained that he had noticed someone allegedly lurking in the yard and threw small pebbles at the house in an attempt to wake the occupants and alert them.
“I was trying to alert them that an intruder was in their yard. Instead of hollering, I threw pebbles to wake them,” Dominguez told the court.
He expressed regret over the incident, saying he should not have interfered and should have minded his own business. Dominguez had also spent the weekend in police custody before being taken to court.
