By Zoila Palma: On July 30, 2026, BELTRAIDE met with Ana Luisa Vallejo Barba, Ambassador of Mexico to Belize, and Guillermo Alejandro Hernandez Salmeron of the Embassy of Mexico to discuss opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between our two countries.
Executive Director Ishmael Quiroz, Deputy Executive Director Monique Usher, and EXPORTBelize Manager Diana Hernandez engaged in productive discussions with the Ambassador and Hernandez on strengthening bilateral trade and investment, promoting BELTRAIDE’s investment opportunities, enhancing export opportunities for Belizean businesses, exploring technical assistance initiatives, advancing an Export to Mexico Workshop, supporting the upcoming Belize–Mexico Friendship Week, and identifying new avenues for greater collaboration.
Discussions also included opportunities for Mexican companies to share their expertise, technologies, and business best practices with Belizean enterprises, while fostering stronger business-to-business partnerships and creating mutually beneficial trade and investment opportunities for both countries.
BELTRAIDE expressed enthusiasm in strengthening the partnership with the Embassy of Mexico to advance trade, investment, innovation, and sustainable economic growth between Belize and Mexico.
