By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Forecasters have two areas of low pressure on the board this week, and Belize is clear of both.
The first sits a few hundred miles east northeast of Bermuda. The National Meteorological Service says it remains disorganised with a broad, elongated circulation and has a medium chance of becoming a short lived tropical cyclone later today before moving over cooler waters.
The second is a few hundred miles south southeast of the Cabo Verde islands, producing disorganised showers and thunderstorms. It could become a tropical depression in the next few days as it moves westward across the tropical Atlantic.
Neither poses a threat to Belize.
At home, a moist east to northeasterly airflow is bringing a few showers and thunderstorms to the south this morning and again tonight. The rest of the country sees isolated activity under sunny skies with cloudy spells.
It stays hot, with 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland, 89 on the coast and 82 in the hills.
Wednesday turns cloudier with showers reaching central areas.
