All For A Time: Pressure Busspipe and Zion I Kings in Full Showcase Flow

Pressure has long been one of the standout voices from the Virgin Islands, known for that heartfelt delivery and a roots message that never wavers. His catalog runs deep, and he’s built a reputation for tunes that carry both melody and conviction, always grounded in culture.

The album runs ten tracks in classic showcase style, each vocal tune sliding straight into its dub. Pressure brings five new cuts — JAH Is Worthy, All For A Time, Shine, Be Somebody, and Rasta Children — and every one of them flips into a deep Zion I Kings dub that pushes the riddim into another mood.

The backbone of the project comes from a tight crew of players. Spanish producer and multi instrumentalist Roberto Sánchez, known for his Lone Ark work, handles all the drums. The Zion I Kings family rounds out the riddim, with David “Jah David” Goldfine on bass, Laurent “Tippy I” Alfred on guitar and keys, and Andrew “Moon” Bain on lead guitar. As a collective, ZIK has shaped modern VI-roots for years, blending live takes, archive sessions, and a warm, unmistakable sound that fans trust. Horns come courtesy of Okiel McIntyre on trumpet and trombone, with Zoe Brown adding flute lines, while Ruel “Klyve” Moncrieffe supports the vocals with harmonies.

You’ll also see Andrew “Drew Keys” Stoch in the credits. He passed on to Zion in 2020, but the collective keeps a deep archive of multi track sessions, and his earlier recordings still find their way into new mixes. It’s part of how the crew builds their sound — live takes, long term craft, and a whole heap of history in the vault. Jah David steers the dub mixes, with Tippy I handling the final mastering.
