50 Cent Roasts Rick Ross With Chicken Joke After Final Tour Stops Get Canceled
50 Cent uses Rick Ross’ canceled North Carolina concerts to revive their feud over album numbers, liquor and G-Unit shoes.
Rick Ross watched his anniversary tour lose its final two stops, and 50 Cent arrived before the refund notices cooled.
The Port of Miami 20th anniversary concerts scheduled for Friday in Greensboro and Saturday in Charlotte were canceled without a detailed explanation.
The Tanger Center said Friday’s performance would not be rescheduled, while Blumenthal Arts blamed “unforeseen circumstances” and promised automatic refunds.
That gave 50 Cent enough material to turn Ross’ black-tie orchestra celebration into another unpaid episode of their endless comedy series.
“Oh my goodness cancelled, things not going well?” 50 Cent wrote while sharing the cancellation news. “Cheer up you can drop a new flavor wings LOL.”
The flavor crack was aimed at Ross’ Wingstop business.
The cancellations closed a tour built around Ross’ 2006 debut album, with the Renaissance Orchestra and Sainted Trap Choir supporting his catalog.
Ross had promoted the production as an upscale victory lap, and the tour was mostly successful before the North Carolina trouble.
The latest joke also continues 50’s campaign against Set in Stone, Ross’ first solo studio album since 2021.
The album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 39, becoming the lowest-charting solo studio release of Ross’ career.
Ross rejected the sales conversation and argued listeners should judge the music instead of numbers circulated throughout the industry.
“Real Hip-Hop lovers should never get caught up in the propaganda and fake bot numbers,” Ross said. “Go to the product. Test it. How amazing is the music?”
Ross later changed battlefields and mocked 50’s revived G-Unit sneakers, questioning whether Reebok had moved nearly as many pairs as advertised.
“The top three sneaker n##### in the game told me they don’t have no G-Unit sneakers,” Ross claimed. “So for y’all to say they sold out in three hours, y’all didn’t have nothing to sell.”
Unfortunately for Ross, the shoes sold better than his argument because the $130 G-Unit G6 disappeared from Reebok’s website within two hours.
The August 20 rerelease recreated the white, blue and red model introduced during G-Unit’s early-2000s commercial peak, Women’s Wear Daily reported.
“Look at the response now,” 50 said afterward. “We sold out within two hours, and our design held up. That tells you we got it right the first time.”
Their feud began around 2009 after Ross targeted 50 on “Mafia Music,” prompting “Officer Ricky” and an invasive campaign about Ross’ correctional-officer past.
The rivalry later included diss records, cartoons, family attacks, lawsuits and repeated business insults that have survived several changes in Hip-Hop.
AllHipHop previously reported Ross threatened to slap 50 with his enormous ring during another round of insults in May.
Ross still has separate concerts listed for September, but his elaborate Port of Miami anniversary tour officially ended before reaching Charlotte.
