2026/27 FUFA Women Super League fixtures released

FUFA through its Competitions Department has on Monday released the fixtures for the first round of the 2026/27 Women Super League.

The new season comes with changes including new kickoff times and introduction of new double headers.

The new season will kick off on Saturday, 19th September 2026, with reigning champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies hosting newly promoted Jinja United WFC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende at 4:00 PM.

On the same day, Vipers will host Ntugasaze FC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende at 8:00 PM.

FUFA Competitions Director Shawn Mubiru explained that seven double headers will be staged during the first round at three venues.

‘This season we have introduced season double headers where a stadium will host an FWSL match and the UPL game on the same day. We shall have seven double headers in the first round, hosted at three stadiums: St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, Hamz Stadium-Nakivubo and MTN Omondi Stadium,’ Mubiru said as quoted by the FUFA website.

He explained that the initiative is linked to the UPL club licensing requirements, which require clubs to either own a women’s team or partner with an existing women’s team.

‘This will give an opportunity for female matches to be played across different parts of the country, use good infrastructure, play in front of UPL fans and promote the women’s game while also getting a new fan base,’ he added.

Matchday one will continue on Sunday with URA Ladies hosting KCCA Women at Hamz Stadium-Nakivubo, while Makerere University will face Amus College WFC at Nsibirwa Play Ground.

Lady Doves will be at home to Uganda Martyrs in Misindi, Rines SS will host She Maroons FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, while She-Corporate FC will welcome St. Noa Girls-Zana FC at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

The first round will conclude in the first week on January 2027.
